Teeratada Phitsanulok School

1.      School Profil
a.       Location
The school is located at 458 M.3 Phitsanulok-Uttaraditr Rd. T.Samokhae A. Muang Phitsanulok 65000. Website: http://www.teeratada.ac.th. 
b.      History and Background
Teeratada Phitsanulok school is a private school in Phitsanulok that  established at 1996 and the teaching and learning process start on June 9th 1997. Teeratada was first opened only for the owner’s children, before it was officially opened on 1997. The first time opened, it had 56 students from Kindergarden 1 until Mathayom 1.  Teeratada is consist of two words that “teera” and “tada”. “Teera” is the meaning of wise and “tada” is the meaning of  hand of the people who will create the wise human.
Philosophies of Teeratada Phitsanulok School are:
1)      Everyone must life based on their own religion.
2)      We have to love our neighbor like ourselves
3)      We have a wisdom like a wise man.
4)      We have to understand the balance of the environment of our life.
c.       Vision        : Teeratada for educational quality towards internationalization.
d.      Mission      : To create personel atmosphere and environment for the benefit of Teeratada

2.      Academic Support System
a.       Classroom
For classroom Teeratada Phitsanulok School had 2 classroom to every grade. Teeratada Phitsanulok School has library, swimming pool, assembly hall, football field, basketball fiield, badminton field, begorah hall (this place is for cooking class and planting class), meeting room, audiotorium, science laboratorium, music room,  private classroom, dormitory rooms, Chinese room, canteen, computer room, monitoring room.
3.      Teaching system
A week of learning to be held for 5 days. They have  subjects, as follows :
a)      Prathom 1-6                      : English, math in Thai, math in English, science in Thai, science in English, Thai language
b)      Mathayom 1-3                   : English, math in Thai, math in English, science, Thai language, social, history
In addition, the students have the other subjects such as computer, music, and swim, chineese language, cooking class. The, for mattayom 3, they must pass the IELTS and get minimum score 4.5, and pass the chineese language test.  A day this school has 8 periods of subject. For each period has during 50 minutes.
c)      Schedule


The teaching and learning process are held 5 days a week, on Monday until Friday. It starts on 7.30 until 16.00, and the daily schedules are    :
 (07:30-08:30)       Flag ceremony and activies in assembly hall 
 (08:30-10:10)       Study in classroom
(10:10-10:20)        Break time
 (10:20-12:00)       Study in classroom
 (12:00-13:00)       Lunch
 (13:00-14:30)       Study in classroom
 (14:30-14:40)       Break time
 (14:40-16:00)       Study in classroom
 (16:30-17.00) Execise I and  dinner (for boarding students)
(17.00-17.30) Execise II and  dinner (for boarding students)
d)      Uniform
1)      Monday           : White and blue
2)      Tuesday           : Sports clothes (white clothes)
3)      Wednesday     : Boy scout
4)      Thursday         : Sport clothes (their houses clothes)
5)      Friday              : White and blue
e)      Houses
The students in Teeratada Phitsanulok School are divided into four houses and every house have their own spesific colour such as :
1)      Victorino         : Red
2)      Luciano           : Orange
3)      Trevor              : Green
4)      Amity              : Blue
4.      Materials and Other Learning Sources
Every subject has two books. First book for teacher as teacher’s guide and second book for students. And for science student also had science book in English.  In Indonesia also apply two books for each subject. The book for teacher and student. Teeratada’s teachers are usually using quizizz application for student’s exercises or student’s homeworks. And teachers are usually using internet for more learning sources.
5.      Measurement and Evaluation Sytem
Teachers at each opportunity will evaluate students, such as when discussing, working in groups and of course when answering questions. The teacher will take notes on his notebook. For science subjects, the teacher will also check the pronunciation of students in science terms. 
In addition, the assessment is also conducted nationally, this is done to determine the ability of students at the national level in accordance with the applicable curriculum, the name  is basic education core curriculum
6.      Curriculum
Based on my observation the curriculum of  Teeratada Phitsanulok School is based on the ministry of education that is Basic Education Core Curriculum 2008. The basic education to be provided to all Thai children and youths will be of higher quality in regard to acquisition of essential knowledge and skills required for learners’ lives in the constantly changing society.

PEDAGOGICAL CONTENTS 1.       Teaching Method Science teachers have their own methods to teach their student. After I observed my mentor teacher Nan when he was teaching, there are three steps. First, teacher will present about the topic they want to teach. It is ad the introduce the topic and they will show the topic on the projector and power point to make student easy to understands what will they learn. Second, they will gave some example to make it clear. Then teacher will ask the student express their opinions. And teacher will make student read some science terms in English because they always now science in Thai but did not know in English. So, its importans to student to know some science term in English. Because they also have science in English and they   learn it in extra class in weekend. 2.       Learning materials and innovation The teacher use material based on basic core curriculum and science book....

CLASS ACTIVITIES

Teeratada had elementary school and junior high school in the same building but difference floor. Prathom student   studied at first floor for grade 1 until 3 and for grade 4 until 6 in second floor with student in Mathayom. Prathom student had good skill when they speak in English so is not difficult to communicate with them. For student in every grade in Prathom had two class A and B. I was observation and teach in Mathayom, student in Mathayom good in English so esay to communicated with them. For student in Mathayom they had two class every grade Jet and Zoom. Form Mathayom Jet they had extra in Chinese and English. For Mathayom Zoom they had extra in Science and Math. Sometimes Mathayom Jet and Zoom would studied together and sometimes they would study separate. In class they very active, they will rise their hand when they would answer their question or they will ask teacher when they did not understand the meaning when they study. For book espe...

Campus Tour at PSRU

PSRU (Phibulsongkram Rajabat University) is a big university. In the main campus they had a lot of building and a nice facility. Like dormintory for student in first year. They also had a big library, in the library had a meeting room for their student. When they would did their group work they can used that room. And they had a computer room with free wifi and student can make their task use that computer or wifi. Of course they had a lot of book student can read there. And in the main building is President of PSRU office. And we had opportunity to met President of PSRU and Dean of the Faculty of Education.  We also came to Faculty of Education (Wangchan), its is a big faculty. In the faculty of education had a museum. That museum told us about Phitasnulok like history and province near Phitsanulok. Then we had big opportunity to had lunch with President of PSRU, Dean of Faculty of Education and Dr. Buncha and his wife.
